COOL IT'S CHRISTMAS, HIGH5!

Christmas is here and it looks like being a "white Christmas" in the UK, although does it actually have to snow on the day for it to be classed as a "white Christmas" rather than there simply being snow on the ground from days gone by? Whatever the answer is we would like to wish you a Happy Christmas and all the best for 2011.

For the Future Stars Cycling Project these last few weeks it has been a case of "dotting the i's and crossing the t's" in preparation for 2011, a year which we hope will be as good for you as it looks like being for us. After lots of hard work over recent months we are pleased to be able to announce the first of the team's partners for 2011; High5 Sports Nutrition.

The world really is a huge place, yet coincidentally High5 are based only a stones throw away from where the team will have a rider 'academy house' for 2011, and so the partnership really is a perfect fit for both parties. We honestly do not believe there to be a better sports nutrition company out there and so are very grateful to High5 for their support.

High5 have proved that you can race faster by using their products, and we certainly hope that the team's riders will race even faster than before in 2011. You can too though, so treat yourself this Christmas!

FOUR WEEK COUNTDOWN

Four weeks today the team will have arrived in Calpe, Spain to prepare for the 2011 season, though with the UK weather having improved over the last week it's been a case of normal service resumed for the riders, with road rides replacing regular turbo sessions and roller work previously necessary due to the ice and snow. It will be during the six weeks that the team is in Spain that the team website will be launched. The website will contain daily updates on everyday 'team life', as well as general news and competitions held in conjunction with our team partners. Details will also be posted on our Twitter feed, so be sure to check in regularly!

WELCOME

Welcome to the first post on the Future Stars Cycling Project blog.

The Future Stars Cycling Project is the name that has been given to the team whilst it is still a work in progress, with some final negotiations still taking place regarding partners for 2011.

Various partners are already confirmed and will be announced in due course. The team will be leaving for a six week training base in Spain at the start of January during which time details on the team's riders will be released. Full details of the team's partners and plans for 2011 will be made public upon completion of the team's official website.
